Beskrivelse

Hosta, Ventricosa, is a perennial herb that grows in moist loam, acidic soil and rock gardens. The plant is recognizable by its broad, oval, slightly wavy dark-green leaves and bell-shaped blue-violet flowers, which grow on the upright stem that can reach up to 65 cm in height. Some species have a waxy coating on the upper side of the leaf, which can give it a bluish appearance. The leaves have a distinct vein structure on the underside.

Hosta is an undemanding plant that thrives in both sun and shade.
